Solo show at BAX
I will be premiering my 50-minute solo show "The Other Side" at Brooklyn Arts Exchange (www.bax.org) on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 2pm.
Tickets are on sale now for $10 General admission.
Call 718-832-0018 for ticket reservations, or click on the link above.

About the show:
In "The Other Side" award-winning juggler Nicholas Flair combines acrobatics, multimedia effects and comedy with world class juggling to create a visual and interactive performance that will engage the whole family. Flair manipulates a towering stack of books, a huge kitchen knife and a bowling ball with humor, skill, and ease in this unforgettable show.

This is the only public showing of The Other Side in the near future. I am encouraging people to make ticket reservations as soon as possible. I plan to take this show on cruise ships starting in 2007.

Circus School Residency in Montreal in January
In January 2007 I will be returning to Montreal's celebrated Ecole Nationale de Cirque for a month of intense rehearsals on The Other Side. I'll be working with Director DJ McDonald, Circus & Character Consultant Yves Dagenais, and video projection consultants. This project is being realized in conjuction with TOHU, La Cite des arts du cirque in Montreal.

Cigar Box Juggling Champion 2006
I won the 2006 cigar box juggling championship, held at the annual International Juggler's Association Festival. This year's festival was in Portland, Oregon. Juggle Magazine writes:
“Nicholas Flair won the Box competition easily, with what the judges said was one of the best routines they’d ever seen. Combining the acrobatics he learned in circus school in Montreal with smooth box manipulations and Flamenco style, Nick’s routine was also a crowd favorite.”

Motion Capture juggling
I recently did a motion-capture juggling and acrobatics session for a NYC company. I was wearing a bodysuit with little sensor balls attached to it, as well as my fingers and props. Not exactly ideal for a juggler! And I had to do the routines with no drops or the take was worthless. Challenging but fun, this was different than anything I've done before. Unfortunately I can'tshare any more details until the release date...

Spring dates with Lazer Vaudeville
I will be again joining the juggling trio Lazer Vaudeville in Spring 2007.
Performance locations include: Casper, WY, Pueblo, CO, Arvada, CO, Anderson, IN, Hartford, WI, Milwaukee, WI, Albany, NY, and Stoney Brook, NY.

That's the news for now...
I hope the new year is good to all of you!

See you at a show
Nicholas Flair
