How many OUT OF OFFICE auto-replies will I get with this one? In other words, I hope you all are having a great summer, and not working too hard! Me, I'm back in the Big Apple which smells like it's rotting in the summer heat!

1. The biggest news is my recent performance at the Cascade of Stars. The show was a lot of fun, in a beautiful 3000 seat theater, with an enthusiastic audience. I opened the show, so I got to relax and watch the other acts afterwards.

For the non-jugglers, The Cascade of Stars was the public show at the International Juggling Association Festival, the final event of a week-long marathon of "throwing up", berating mimes, and trying to stay warm in the sub-arctic temperatures of the Buffalo Convention Center. That's right, this years meeting of nerds and geeks was in charming, absolutely charming, Buffalo, NY. Here's a quick rundown of this "All-America" city:
FOOD: The only vegetables I could find all week were the pickles at the "New Yawk" deli.
WEATHER: Dreary and depressing, average humidity 116 percent. And I forgot my raincoat.
LODGING: Yes, I have a permanent imprint of a mattress-spring in my shoulder. Luckily, most of my time was spent at the convention, which was really fun. I led and attended workshops, traded tricks, and saw insane juggling. The Flying Karamazov Brothers performed a full show, and set a record for the number of times failing a trick on stage. After about 15 minutes of funny improvised pick-up lines, they finally nailed it. Sometimes people who've seen my act on a mediocore day ask me if I dropped on purpose. I don't think anyone asked the Karamazov's.

2. This past weekend I did a fun gig for Perrier, promoting their new bottle. The coordinators even imported a light Perrier drizzle for the duration of the day. (For more on drizzle, see also: Buffalo.) The event was hosted by Ted Allen from "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." We manipulated various arrangements of bottles, and even passed clubs around a very nervous Ted.

3. This week I get to take a quick trip to Kona, Hawaii to entertain at a company dinner. I have most of Friday free, which should be fun. I've never been...

4. As mentioned before, I am in New York City now, until October, when I will start with Lazer Vaudeville again. I am enjoying a more relaxed schedule for a couple of months, which gives me the time to work on new material and write silly newsletters.

That's all for now. I hope this email finds you well. And if it doesn't find you, I still hope you are well...

All the best!
