HAPPY THANKSGIVING! HAPPY THANKSGIVING! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
By the time next weekend rolls around, you'll have eaten so much turkey (or tofurkey) that you can hardly move, and will be good and ready to kiss your relatives goodbye (for good). If you can still see your feet, point them toward the door and go see a show! Here are two friendly, totally unbiased suggestions.

-----------------
Sunday, December 1 at 4pm and 6pm
The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus Variety Show
Palace of Variety
125 West 42nd Street, between 6th ave. and Broadway.
Admission $10 or volunteer to help out at the theatre
For more info, check out www.bindlestiff.org

See the NY Times article on The Bindlestiffs and new vaudeville in Sunday's (11/24) arts and leisure section.

This is a weekly variety show, with different performers "at least every week." It's a lot of fun, and features...a variety of great acts.

------------------
Monday, December 2 at 8pm
Open Call - The Vaudeville of Auditions
Neighborhood Playhouse
340 East 54th Street between 1st and 2nd ave.
Suggested donation $10
Reservations 212-595-0924
I have a limited guest list, so let me know if you want to see the show and I may be able to get you in *FREE*

This play is a spoof on auditions, and features great variety acts such as juggling (guess who?), magic, stand-up comedy, singing, and more.

Pay attention, this next part's important! There will be two performances by audience members who have VOLUNTEERED to show their stuff! (Perform a variety act.) Before the show starts, audience members will be given the opportunity to volunteer. Of those that volunteered, two performers will be selected randomly during the show. THERE IS NO INVOLUNTARY AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION!!

Hope to see you there!

Yours tritely,

Nick Goldsmith
